CHERYL COOPER
Founder
Cheryl is a highly qualified and experienced dance instructor and founded Cherry Dance in 2012.
Her training and qualifications include: Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance (Creative Academy, West London – choreography, Bollywood, breakdance, contemporary, release, commercial, street, ballet, pointe, pas de deux, yoga, stretch & flex, jazz, modern, stage combat and rapier and dagger); anatomy and physiology; PTTLS teaching qualification; Diploma in Dance Instruction Modern (ISTD); instructor qualifications in pole fitness (choreographer of award-winning Inter-University Pole Dancing Championship 2020), aerial hoop, pilates and fitness classes; children’s pole & aerial fitness. Cheryl is also trained in burlesque, boylesque, wedding dances, silks and body conditioning.
Cheryl’s professional performances include Come Dine with Me (Sky One), Corporate Rudeye Dance Agency (02 Arena), Corporate Glastonbury Festival and Got to Dance (Sky One). She also choreographed a medal-winning British Gymnastics Championship routine.

CARL HALSTAD
Pole Fitness Instructor
Carl is a qualified pole fitness instructor and has been teaching at Cherry Dance since 2019.
"I’ve always been curious about pole, but never felt I had the body type for it. Carl has been incredible; he is supportive, encouraging and patient. His energy is infectious and the joy he shares with you when you do something well is beyond exciting! He believes I can do things before I can. EMMA RULE
Burlesque Instructor
Emma joined Cherry Dance in 2018 and has attended every burlesque class and performed in every cabaret show. She has been teaching burlesque since 2020 and is currently training for her aerial hoop teacher’s qualification.
All Cherry Dance instructors are fully qualified, insured and first aid trained.
